Captain Cesc Fabregas

I always thought Francesc Fàbregas Soler’s age to be around 24 to 26. His skills in the midfield are just amazing, and recently awarding him the captain’s armband are just too much for his age. He is 21.

He holds the Arsenal record of the youngest player to score a goal for the club at 16.

Although, the Spaniard is not yet a prolific scorer, still at 27 total career goals, 15 for Arsenal. He creates goals for his team mates, i’ve seen him play during Euro 2008, he is one of the reasons why Spain won the trophy

  1. Good decision by Wenger to appoint Fabregas caption after the Gallas affair. Helps to keep him focused on Arsenal and not to think of Barcelona.

Never thought Gallas was the right man for the captaincy. And strangely the whole incident could somehow cement the team and perhaps they could beat Chelsea on Sunday.

If they don’t it will definitely be a 3 horse for the championship, no way Arsenal could still be in the race after another defeat, especially to a major rival.

    Cheers

    Hello,
Today he will have another hard test against Chelsea.
By the way, Frabegas´s birthplace is Vilassar de Mar- a town near Barcelona(30-40km).
