Carlos Vela was acquired by Arsenal in late 2005, but due to work permit issues he was loaned to several Spanish clubs including Osasuna. Now, he is now permanently back in Arsenal’s first team line-up.

He was part of the FIFA Under 17 World Cup champions Mexico, and even the highest scorer of the tournament. The kid is really good.

He is surely one of the few Mexicans that Americans would love. :P

He was featured in the British tabloid as one of the 20 teens to watch out in 2008. Hhhm, time to look for him every time Arsenal has a game.
