Charles Renken made news when Arsene Wenger revealed his interest on the 14 year old American kid. Yes Renken is still 14. Usually, football managers sign youngsters from other clubs at age 17. Charles Renken has been likened to fellow American Freddie Adu who also came to football limelight when the latter became a professional footballer at age 14.
Like Adu, Renken came from another African country to migrate to the US. Renken was born in Zambia, his original last name was Bimbe.
He had trials on a few Europeans clubs, but presently he is active in the US Under 17 team.
His move to Arsenal may become a likely possibility since he is fan of the Premier League club.
I will keep watch on this kid’s progress.
