According to Liverpool FC’s website:
Liverpool Football Club have agreed terms for the transfer of Javier Mascherano to FC Barcelona.
The Spanish club have now been given permission to speak to the Argentina midfielder.
The fee involved is an initial fee of $24 million (not pounds), and additional 9$M depending on performances.
Inter Milan’s fee of 6M pounds was described by Roy Hodgson as a “joke offer”.
