The title was basically the quote of Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson on Javier Mascherano.
According to Hodgson, “Javier Mascherano is not in the right frame of mind to play the game because his head has obviously been turned by the offer from Barcelona,”
Mascherano refused to play against Manchester City. Most likely he was swayed by Barcelona’s bid to acquire the defensive midfielder. But the amount was way below the valuation of around 25M pounds.
Barcelona is every footballer’s dream, apart from Real Madrid.
If I were Hodgson, I would not let him play for the next two years if he continues in his refusal to play, also provided that the valuation has not met yet.
Yet another player who is making the decision for his club, this is ridiculous, players like that should be made to play out the rest of their contracts for the reserves not get regular football and ruin their careers. It’s a disgrace.
