Peter Gulacsi - Liverpool

Liverpool added another hungarian in their youth/reserve team in Peter Gulacsi.

Gulacsi was originally in a loan contract from MTK Hungaria, but was signed by Liverpool on August 2008 on a permanent basis until 2010.

“I am very proud to have signed for Liverpool,” said Gulacsi. “It’s a dream for me to be working at such a great club alongside one of the best goalkeepers in the world, Pepe Reina.

“After spending one year on loan I had no hesitation in agreeing to sign a permanent contract. To have signed for Liverpool is an unbelievable feeling.” (Liverpoolfc.tv)

He was on the bench as a backup goalkeeper for Cavalieri in the September 24 match against Crewe Alexandre in a Carling Cup match.

He expressed his desire to have a first team action in Liverpool:

“It was a fantastic evening. For me it was a great experience. I enjoyed every minute of it.

“I will continue to work very hard and make my debut in the senior team as soon as possible.” (Pepsifoci)

Well, that would take time, and he has to work very hard since Cavalieri, the backup goalie is as good as the first team team keeper Pepe Reina.
