Youth Domination in Carling Cup

It was a grand moment for the future football superstars in the Carling Cup in the English Premier League.

Liverpool
- 21 year old Lucas Leiva broke the tie score with a header in the 58th minute to give Liverpool a 2-1 win over Crewe Alexandre.

Arsenal
- Arsenal scored 6 goals against Sheffield United. Three of those goals by Carlos Vela. Nicklas Bendtner added two goals. And the youngest of the gunners, 16 year old Jack Wilshere completed the 6 goals in the 57th minute. Aaron Ramsey, the 17 year old acquired from Cardiff City (division 2 club) also had his share in an assist to a Vela goal.

Reading
James Henry, the 19 year old from Reading scored two goals in the match, but missed a shot in the penalty shootout when the match against Stoke City ended in 2-2. Stoke won 4-3.
